Dr. V R Yamunadevi, a Consultant in Infection Control, Operation Theatre, and CSSD Coordination, brings her extensive experience and unique skill set to QuorumVeda as a strategist. A graduate from Amravati University, Maharashtra in 2003, she holds dual degrees in Anaesthesiology and Clinical Microbiology (Gold medallist) from Madras Medical College, Chennai.
With over 10 years of experience in Anaesthesiology and Clinical Microbiology, Dr. Yamunadevi's diverse background positions her as an expert in the field of Infection Control. She is among the few clinicians in India certified in infection control (CIC) by the Certification Board in Infection Control (CBIC), USA in 2020, and by the New York Health Department in 2016 and recertified in 2021. Additionally, she was honored with the SHEA International Ambassador award in 2020.
Dr. Yamunadevi has been instrumental in achieving several accolades, including the Asia Pacific Hand Hygiene Award 2021 and the Asia Pacific Award for CSSD Centre of Excellence Gold category in 2019. She is a certified simulation trainer and serves as a faculty at a simulation center for medical and paramedical students. Dr. Yamuna holds certifications in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington and Outbreak Management from Johns Hopkins University, which enables her to lead outbreak management effectively.
Dr. Yamunadevi's extensive experience in infection control will be a valuable asset to QuorumVeda in implementing successful infection prevention projects. Her involvement in quality improvement projects related to AMSP and infection control practices has earned her multiple awards, including the Healthcare Management Asia Awards, Sultanate of Oman Excellence, and Apollo Innovation Awards. She is a member of various professional organizations, such as SHEA, ECCMID, IMA, CIDS, ISA, CAHO, and IAMM. Her past and recent research interests include outbreak analysis and quality improvement work on infection control practices.
